Annandale fire displaces six

Three adults and three children were displaced during an Annandale house fire on Oct. 2 that caused an estimated $209,000 worth of damage.

Firefighters responded to 3232 Annandale Road around 8:30 a.m. to find smoke and fire coming from the back side of the house, according to a release from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.

They were able to bring the fire under control in 10 minutes but had to treat one of the residents, according to the release.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental, caused by unattended food on the stove.
