Chantilly tribute to Coach Bruno
On Friday, Oct. 5, there will be a special tribute at the Chantilly vs. Oakton varsity football game at halftime. A plaque will be presented to the family of longtime Chantilly coach and teacher Henry Bruno, who tragically passed away this past summer. Bruno was the offensive coordinator of 3 consecutive district championship CHS football teams in the mid 1980s and would later be a part of the 1996 State Championship team. Bruno is remembered for being a coach and teacher who cared very much about the young men and women that he worked with at CHS.
