Robbery on Wadsworth Court
A 20-year-old Annandale man was robbed on Sept. 25 about 11:30 p.m., Fairfax County Police said.
According to investigators, the man was walking alone along a dark path in the 4000 block of Wadsworth Court when he noticed another man walking toward him. The man grabbed the victim by the shirt and pointed a gun at him.
Police said the gunman struck the victim on the head with the gun and demanded money. The victim handed over a small amount of money and the suspect struck him again, knocking him to the ground. The suspect went through the victim’s pockets, took more money and fled the area. The victim had minor injuries.
Police describe the suspect as black, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He wore a black baseball cap with a blue shirt and blue jeans.

Armed robbery reported
City of Fairfax Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Sept. 27 at about 11:25 a.m. at the Game Stop at 9446 Main St.
According to investigators, three men entered the business and confronted the employees at gunpoint, demanding to be shown where high-end video game systems were located in the store.
The men took several systems and fled in a tan or gold vehicle parked to the rear of the business and driven by a fourth man. They escaped in an unknown direction. No one was injured. The suspects were described only as two black males and two Hispanic males wearing hoods.

Fraud cases closed with arrests
Two fraud case investigations by the City of Fairfax Police resulted in the arrests of a pair of individuals in September.
Police said one case involved a 19-year-old Arlington man who allegedly stole checks and a debit card from the 42-year-old city resident with whom he was visiting. The suspect wrote checks to himself and deposited them into his personal account and used the stolen debit card for several unlawful charges. The crimes occurred between April 26 and July 26.
Jose Miguel Gavidia-Mendoza, of 718 N. George Mason Drive in Arlington, was charged with two counts of forgery, two counts of uttering and two counts of false pretense for the theft and fraud of the checks. He was also charged with one count of credit card theft, one count of credit card forgery and four counts of credit card fraud. Arlington County Police arrested Gavidia-Mendoza on Sept. 26.
The second case, police said, involved a 29-year-old Centreville woman who purchased a new vehicle from Ourisman Toyota at 10287 Fairfax Blvd. She allegedly used false information on a credit application and wrote two bad checks on Aug. 3 to the dealership totaling $7,000.
So Hui Youn, of 5632 Greshen Lane in Centreville, was charged with one count of obtaining a vehicle by false pretense, two counts of forgery and two counts of uttering. She was arrested on Sept. 19 and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Her bond was set at $12,000.
Colchester Road house fire displaces one, no injuries
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a single-family house fire on Saturday, Sept. 29, at about 12:55 p.m. at 5941 Colchester Road in Fairfax, about one mile south of the intersection of Braddock and Colchester roads.
Authorities said that upon arrival, firefighters saw flames coming from the roof and the rear of the one-story home. Firefighters encountered fire in the attic and roof of the house. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Officials said the occupant was home when the fire broke out but escaped unharmed. One adult was displaced. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The occupant is being assisted by the Red Cross. Damage is estimated at $61,620. The fire was accidental in nature and caused by combustibles too close to the water heater.
Woman charged with assault, larceny
City of Fairfax Police reported that Bonnie Colleen Bell, 39, of no fixed address, was arrested for assault and two counts of larceny following an incident that occurred on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at Joe’s Pizza restaurant, 3922 Old Lee Highway.
According to investigators, police responded to a report of an assault. The victim said a female suspect, later identified as Bell, ate at the restaurant, and when leaving, allegedly stole cash from another paying customer. As Bell was leaving the restaurant, the victim confronted her and Bell allegedly bit him on the hand and then left the area on foot.
Police said a short time later, a patrol officer observed Bell allegedly stealing a shirt and sunglasses from another victim’s car parked in a shopping center across from the business.
Assault reported near restaurant
The City of Fairfax Police reported that it is investigating an assault that occurred on Sept. 25 at 2:37 p.m. in the 9700 block of Fairfax Boulevard.
According to police, a male victim was struck in the head with a beer bottle. The victim said he was drinking alcohol with an acquaintance in the wooded area behind Mythos Restaurant when the assault took place. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The case is under investigation.
