Annandale students receive awards

Paul Mathis of Annandale High School; Jake Baskin and Rachel Lim of Lake Braddock Secondary School; Dennis Shiraev of Robinson Secondary School; Alyson Yee of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology; and Allison Geller of Woodson High School were six of 10 Fairfax County Public School students who received 2007 Achievement Awards in Writing by the National Council of Teachers of English. Each participant submitted a sample of his or her best writing in any form or genre as well as an impromptu essay on a subject determined by the NCTE.
